Osceola County Welcome Center and History Museum

This project involved creating (as an Instructional Designer) a video that included the media assets given to us by the Museum. There were still photos and text information given to us to use. The main issues that this establishment had in engaging their guests throughout their internal displays were static non-interactive text and photo displays that were too far from the viewer to read or use. The displays were also filled with a lot of boring text and the size was very small. They claimed they needed drastic improvements to increase their traffic in this venue. They encouraged us to use more technology from an educator’s perspective. We could incorporate various means like interactive displays, multi-platform designs and include Spanish language on the displays and videos, since most of their guests speak that language. We had to create a whole new design that incorporated their information but with much more excitement for the viewers. I choose many different processes and hardware to showcase the information in an environment where the guest must be part of the action. There were interactive games, added touchscreens, installed floor mounted kiosks, virtual reality headsets and video walls in my design.
